Argentinian born, Brisbane based Alexander Lotersztain is certainly no stranger to the design world. At the ripe age of 35 he has certainly developed an expressive portfolio restaurant supplies consisting of custom product design, interiors and his own furniture range. restaurant supplies He was named one of 100 most influential restaurant supplies top designers worldwide by Phaidon so it’s restaurant supplies no wonder when we stumbled upon one of his latest project Depo – we stopped to look! Located in the West End of sunny Brisbane sits Alexander’s restaurant supplies latest restaurant and bar, which he also part owns. He seems to have captured the feeling of someone’s lounge room while cleverly placing some of his own furniture pieces throughout. Shiny black tiles clad the exterior of the building leaving raw concrete blocks to line the internal walls. The mix of design styles are intriguing as they aren’t your regular fusion of materials and finishes. restaurant supplies The Industrial vintage atmosphere envelopes the space with hints of a shiny gold mosaic wall, persian rugs and hanging copper pot plants and the floor space is filled with a large purple modular lounge that meanders through the loose timber tables and chairs. Eclectic yes, pretentious no, a well considered space we think so!
