In the absence of other things so we end this work week with a review I think. This beer has nothing whatsoever to do with Easter or something else, but it was good so why not? Westbrook is a brewery from Mt Pleasant, South Carolina, which was introduced in the Swedish and Danish market last year if I'm not wrong. The first Westbrook beer I tried was their regular IPA available around the country at our Bishops Arms, among other things, and it was great. Then when they were additionally at Copenhagen Beer Celebration then came the chance to try even more, and their coffee version of the beer I'm reviewing today was one of the festival's best. We also got to see even more of Westbrook on Lately when everyone's favorites national restaurant supply Brill & Co. began importing them in the same time. This bottle national restaurant supply I squeezed yesterday I bought in Copenhagen last summer, where, national restaurant supply it is often able to find some Westbrook here and there and the vast majority of them are worth a buy. But if you do not have the time and opportunity to go over to the Danish capital has Brill right now three of their products online, which one of them can be ordered as each pick (Brett & No mices, really good brettad beer). But now to the beer! Hope you all enjoy from the Website; "Happy birthday national restaurant supply to us! To celebrate our first year as a brewery we brewed a serious Imperial Stout and aged it on cocoa nibs, vanilla national restaurant supply beans, cinnamon sticks, and fresh habanero peppers. This is the first offering in our annual Anniversary series. Here's to many more! "
The beer is dark, dark, dark reddish brown with a little shimmer, not completely black like many other imperial stouts. Large nicely national restaurant supply brown foam. Smells burnt sugar, cinnamon, allspice, dark chocolate, vanilla and soy. A rather prickly and spicy scent, even relatively heavy, but it differs quite a lot from other imperial stouts .. Hard to put your finger on, but above all it is quite spicy. Had almost been able to be stored on romfat with this scent. Mouthfeel is tantalizing with millions of tiny bubbles swirling flavors in the mouth. Vanilla, malt syrup, cinnamon, licorice, bitter from the cold coffee and a nice, balanced by heat from the habanero. We tried to say the coffee flavor on CBC last year and it was absolutely fabulous, and I must say that this is not far away. At this writing, it has a little more than a year old, and it is absolutely superb. Soft, spicy, hot and damn good. I can imagine that it is more vinous national restaurant supply after a few years of storage, but if you like spicy stouts national restaurant supply so it is just right to open it now. Awesome good.
