As I wrote last year when I and my wife drove down to Hamburg, it is an excellent travel destination, especially for us who live in southern restaurant supply philadelphia Sweden. Quite exactly five hours it takes from our door to the hotel in Hamburg on all valves with boats and traffic, it may not always do, but still. So Friday after work we drove down in the afternoon and was in town at about 20:00. We would just check into the hotel and find a parking, then everything would be hunky-dory. Check in with no problems, but then .. Parking altså. In some parts of Hamburg, there are certainly plenty of parking, but in Sternschanze where we lived, just north of St. Pauli, where it was not plenty of parking. Firstly, it's sick crowded, restaurant supply philadelphia which might work because every single person living there running Smart car or similar, and second, so park them really anyway. It's hard to explain if you have not been there so I show some images instead. restaurant supply philadelphia
Well, after two hours of searching (!) We found atleast a parking in the same block as the hotel is in, dumped the bags and pulled down a quick turn to Altes Mädchen Braugasthaus for food and a few beers. It was a short stop when I had been up since 3:00 in the morning so we got to bed early. The next day we headed down to town for some shopping, and more. After a quick bit of googling restaurant supply philadelphia we found Miller Café, one of them a maximum rateade restaurant supply philadelphia cafes for breakfast and brunch on TripAdvisor. A very simple cafe with pretty damn nice staff, good food and nice atmosphere. Like most of the St. Pauli area, it's pretty much left twisted with stickers and graffiti with anti-fascist and anti-homophobic message, and of course FC St. Pauli everywhere.
A leisurely breakfast, it was anyways, full and satisfied we trudged through the rain down to the town. We stopped for a quick turn on Joh.Albrecht and had a beer before we went on, nothing special but still rather nice place. Flush with your foot, right klyfigt We actually walked around the town a couple of hours and shopped and MOS, before we felt it was time to eat something, buy a couple of beers and take a break at the hotel room for a while. Towards ölbutiken I sifted me into we ended up at a sushi place that had become our late lunch before we strolled back up to Sternschanze and Craft Beer Store. Craft Beer Store is a newly opened store located on the same farm as the Altes Mädchen. The store was opened restaurant supply philadelphia in 2013 and has gained a reputation for being great at not only German beer, but also imported. Around 300 varieties of beer pretending they wanted restaurant supply philadelphia to wear, which may well seem right.
The venue is really damn fresh and moving in the same style as the Altes Mädchen. restaurant supply philadelphia A little industrial, a lot of wood, simple and neat. Along the walls are lots of beers on shelves and on the floor are display cases with even more beer, then usually a little more specialbrygder. Mostly, of course, German beer, but then not only classic pilsners and wheat beers, but also the new wave of German craft breweries restaurant supply philadelphia that deliver pale ale in various forms, IPA, hopfenweizens and so on. In addition to all the German beer is also some imported. I saw Mikkeller, To Beer, Rogue, Crooked Stave, Pretty Things, Firestone restaurant supply philadelphia Walker, a lot of British breweries and some Belgian .. A mishmash of other words. It is clearly one of the best setups of beer I've seen in Germany restaurant supply philadelphia at all, especially German småbryggerierna they were very fun to find beers. Häffner restaurant supply philadelphia Brau, BrauKunstKeller, Kehrwieder, Fritz and Riedenburger to name a few. The modern craft beer is really on the verge of a breakthrough in Germany which is pretty damn fun, even if their traditional styles are still what they do best in general.
Some beer was purchased and we went back to the hotel. As a note, I also say that we walked restaurant supply philadelphia past Alsterhaus which is a big, fancy department stores like the KaDeWe restaurant supply philadelphia in Berlin. On the top floor there are a lot of fine wine and whiskey shops and there is a small fridge tucked away from Braufactum with mostly their own beer but also a little Brooklyn and Firestone Walker. However, I bought nothing from there, but might be good to know if one is nearby. Well, after a much needed break in the hotel room where a few of them bought the beer was tested (and I must say that they were much higher quality than what I expected!), So it was time for a stroll in the town to. We went into a turn on the Reeperbahn, a little bit of a must when you're in the neighborhood. The Reeperbahn is the most strip clubs and tourist traps, overpriced and poor beer and mediocre food, but it surely has its charm. I think we saw dozens of stag / hen parties who ran around with their assignments, it certainly seems to be a popular place for stuff like that. We went there a little back and forth before we sat down on a small terrace with a beer and most sat and watched the people.
